This dual purpose table and desk was developed for a specific place in the customer’s dining room for its main function as a desk. The drop leaf extensions allow it to be used as a dining table when moved into the centre of the room. Birch plywood was used to match the shelves in the office space, with London plane trim in high wear areas to increase durability and the visual and tactile impact of the piece. It features a shelf for storing laptops and papers, as well as a hole with drop in cover for routing cables.
